About us

PokeaAbout Pokea Afya Foundation

Pokea Afya Foundation is a registered charity trust organization based in Kenya. It seeks to create awareness on non-communicable diseases i.e. their prevention, management and treatment aiming at reducing the economic burden caused by these preventable diseases.

It was set up by a critical care nurse and a kidney failure patient. This was after observing the rap[id increase of these diseases in our country and the suffering the patients go through thus emergency needs to ease all this was needed. If we all prevent these non communicable diseases, Kenyans will suffer less and the money used in treating these diseases would be channeled to other needs like roads, education e.t.c.
